How we work

Most breaches aren't sophisticated; they exploit gaps that proper controls would have closed. We implement layered controls across endpoint protection, identity security, network monitoring, and compliance frameworks, then maintain and improve them continuously. We close those gaps systematically and keep documentation audit-ready so you're never scrambling before an assessment.

Capabilities

We draw from these depending on your environment.

  • Endpoint detection & response (EDR)
  • Email security & phishing defense
  • Security information & event management (SIEM)
  • Vulnerability scanning & patch management
  • SOC 2 / HIPAA / ISO 27001 readiness
  • Security awareness training
  • Incident response planning
  • Quarterly security reviews

Is this right for you?

A good fit if a customer, investor, insurer, or regulator is asking about your security, or you worry about what would happen after a breach.

  • Small businesses handling client, health, or financial data without a dedicated security person
  • Startups filling in security questionnaires or preparing for SOC 2 to win bigger customers
  • Solo founders who want sensible protection for email, devices, and accounts without enterprise complexity

How we approach it

A consistent methodology built around minimizing disruption and delivering measurable results.

01

Assess

A thorough audit of your current security posture across endpoints, email, identity, network, data, and compliance gaps. You'll know exactly where you stand before we touch anything.

02

Implement

We deploy layered controls in priority order, starting with the highest-risk gaps. Endpoint protection, email security, MFA, and monitoring go in first. Compliance documentation follows.

03

Monitor

Continuous monitoring for threats, anomalies, and policy violations. Regular reviews keep your controls current as your environment and the threat landscape evolve.

What a typical engagement looks like

We begin with a security assessment across devices, email, identity, network, and data, and map the gaps against the framework that matters to you, whether that is SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or simply your cyber insurance requirements.

Controls then go in by risk: MFA, endpoint protection, and email security first, because they stop most real-world attacks. Monitoring, patching, and awareness training follow, along with the policies and evidence an auditor will ask for. After that we monitor continuously and review your posture every quarter.

What you get

Audit-ready compliance documentation for SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001

Threats detected and blocked before they escalate

A workforce that's a line of defense, not a liability

Security posture that improves over time, not just at audit time

Security & Compliance: common questions

What cybersecurity does a small business actually need?

At minimum: MFA on every account, endpoint protection on every device, email security with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, automatic patching, tested backups, and basic security awareness training. Those controls stop the large majority of attacks that hit small businesses.

Do we need SOC 2?

Only if customers or partners require it, which is common when selling software or services to larger companies. If they are asking for it in security questionnaires or contracts, SOC 2 readiness is usually worth starting early, because the controls take time to put in place and evidence.

Can you help with HIPAA compliance?

Yes. We implement and document the technical safeguards HIPAA requires, such as access controls, encryption, audit logging, and backups, and work alongside your compliance lead or auditor on the administrative side.

How is this different from buying antivirus software?

Antivirus covers one layer. Most breaches start with phishing, stolen passwords, or misconfigured accounts, which antivirus does not address. We put layered controls in place across identity, email, devices, and data, and monitor them continuously.
